Riddle me this, because i just don't get the whole red velvet obsession. Yes, I have brought our couture red velvet 'n cream cookies back for the month of July, but only because people keep asking for them.

I know those of you who love red velvet will say it has an amazing taste, but I bake. I know what's in red velvet and any way you slice it, the ingredients found in any red velvet cookie or cake cannot be stupendous, earth-shattering or phenomenal. They can be moist or dry, have a faint of obvious cocoa flavor, but amazing?!

Regardless, I have once again, caved to pressure. Because it's summer, I'm sending a few to New York for my sister to test to determine whether they can be shipped this time of year.

Stay tuned for our red velvet results; i'll let you know whether they arrive unscathed from the heat.

By the way, since it's now July 6th, the cookie will not be topped with the blue marzipan star, unless requested!
