Once the block long lines grew old, conscious consumers questioned the $3 and $4 cupcake. Yet years later, it seems the cupcake won as the wallet slims and the hips widen. Another perceived loser in Battle Cupcake? The cookie. What happened to the simple pleasure found in gulping a glass of cold milk while devouring a warm chocolate chip cookie? And I am not talking about microwaved Chips Ahoy.
 
Lydia Shayne, owner of Highland's DeLuscious Cookies + Milk, refuses to let the cookie crumble into nothingness. Offering 16 classic flavors, including Oatmeal Raisin, Peanut Butter, and Chocolate Chip, which happens to be Entourage Creator and Executive Producer Doug Ellin's personal favorite, DeLuscious bakes a cookie for everyone's taste buds. Using only premium chocolates, grade AA sweet cream butter, and pure cane sugars, Lydia and her gifted crew bake all cookies fresh to order. Angelinos are lucky because they can take advantage of local delivery and literally bite into a warm and gooey cookie. Followed by milk served in an old fashioned bottle.
 
Even better, DeLuscious presents a variety of couture cookies and holiday and seasonal creations. Some of my favorites include the Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate, Pumpkin Spice, and Banana Walnut. And for you cupcake snobs, they even make a Red Velvet Cookie!
 
Each DeLuscious cookie is individually packaged, but the wrapper won't deter you for long. Sure, DeLuscious cookies appear too pretty to eat, but they are too tasty to avoid.
